Are you due to update your required OSHA/HIPAA (HB 300) training? Join GCDHA for our annual OSHA/HIPAA course. Details and registration link below. Please feel free to share this with all your dental colleagues.

Topic: OSHA/HIPAA (HB 300) presented by Kayce Hollingsworth

Course Description: The OSHA and State Board Updates program is specifically designed to inform and educate dental professionals on required safe work practices and Infection Control compliance. It is mandatory for all dental employees to have yearly updates of the current guidelines set by OSHA and the State Board of Dental Examiners. A comprehensive review of regulations, required documentation and systems implementation will be covered during this lecture along with a review of the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, education requirements, labeling requirements, employer and employee compliance and new state board inspection information. HIPAA and HB300 are also required every two years for all covered entities (the entire dental staff). This is a combination course, so you will satisfy both your OSHA and HIPAA requirements. Unfortunately attending only one portion is not an option with this format.

Presenter: Kayce Hollingsworth is a Territory Manager for Shofu Dental Corporation. She has more than 20 years of clinical and practical experience as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant Certified through the University of Florida's College of Dentistry Dental Assisting Certification program and is a Registered Dental Assistant with the State of Texas. Kayce attended Armstrong State University School of Nursing and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate and Organizational Communication from Northeastern University. She previously served as a Dental Assistant Instructor, Clinical Consultant, and lectured through A&M Heath Science Center (Baylor) College of Dentistry giving the State Board Dental Assistant Registration Course and Exam, the Nitrous Oxide Course and exam, and other continuing education courses.
